Synopsis
Twenty-year-old Russ arrives in the northern California town of Freedom to visit his dad. Freedom has peculiarities other than its odd name: the local mayor's ideas of "decentralization" have left it without normal connections to state or federal government and minimal public services. Russ meets an interesting young woman, Pendra, but before he can get to know much about Freedom or its people, a savage tsunami strikes the West Coast. The wave of human brutality that soon hits the isolated town proves more dangerous to the survivors than the natural disaster. Russ, his father, Pendra, and the other townsfolk must tap all their courage and ingenuity -- and find strength they never knew they had -- if they have any hope of living to find real freedom!, Twenty-year-old Russ arrives in the northern California town of Freedom to visit his dad. - e***a (272)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaOrdered from USA and arrived to me in UK about 10 days later. Book appropriately packaged and mostly as described. Was missing the cd as listed but communication with the seller was friendly and polite if not a little confusing - partial refunds are only offered after you start the formal eBay return request process, they aren't capable of giving refunds after simple messaging to customer service. All in all though, great value and a positive transaction. Would interact again 👍
- e***- (123)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaUnfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.
- h***r (190)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaHave ordered books a number of times from ThriftBooks, via eBay, over the years, and the transactions have always been super-smooth. It was the same way this time. Sturdy packaging for the shipments. Condition / appearance of books was even better than described. As always, an excellent value, particularly with the free shipping as well as the promotional discount for ordering three or more books at a time. Love it!
