Packaging was slim to cut down on shipping but the mp3 player was WELL protected and wrapped in lots of bubble tape on top of being sealed in a baggie. Language was in Japanese but there are tutorials online how to change it that can be done relatively easily, or you could just translate with your phone and memorize. Great value overall.
