Reviews
"The Crime Buff's Guide to the Outlaw Rocky Mountains is a fascinating and macabre tour of crime locations and criminal acts where the body count is as high as the altitude. Readers will be reminded that the Wild West was really wild--and that it still is. Ron Franscell is a thorough and unflinching guide. This book is hard to put down, and voyeurs with GPS units should be both thrilled . . . and weirded out at times."--C. J. Box, New York Times bestselling author of Cold Wind and Back of Beyond "One of the best true crime writers going today, Ron Franscell has provided in The Crime Buff's Guide to the Outlaw Rocky Mountains a fascinating guide to help true crime buffs locate the crime scenes that made the Old Wild West wild, as well as those of the most notorious of modern day homicides. In a lengthy series of well-written 'mini-stories' that also provides the GPS coordinates and addresses, this book takes the adventurous reader on a historical tour from the haunts of Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch to the Denver home of a radio shock jock gunned down by white supremacists. I can imagine legions of true crime fans with Franscell's book in hand standing in these places, contemplating in real life what the characters of history saw and experienced."--Steve Jackson, bestselling author of MONSTER, The Crime Buff's Guide to the Outlaw Rocky Mountains is a fascinating and macabre tour of crime locations and criminal acts where the body count is as high as the altitude. - e***- (122)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaUnfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.
- v***v (2105)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaAlthough this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate. How to chalk talk, by Harlan Tarbell (#197064259889)
