The model 1747-L543 is part of the SLC500 series modules including the 1747-L541 model. With a full range of analog, digital, diagnostic digital, motion control, and specialty I/O, the 17747 Allen-Bradley ControlLogix I/O and PLC 5 chassis based module meets all of your application requirements. Using a modular CPU provides numerous benefits, including a compact design, various network options, fast message delivery between modules and networks, and a faster input/output. The input/output, commonly referred to as I/O, represents the communication between the computer and the outside world. The unit works with ControlNet, which is a real-time control network that provides high-speed transport of both time-critical I/O and interlocking data and messaging data, including upload/download of programming and configuration data on a single physical media link. Allen-Bradley’s stock 1747L543 modular CPU has a user memory maximum of 64,000 words total. The Allen-Bradley 1747-L543 CPU module supports up to 64K of user-backed memory. It provides 60,000 words for programming or data, and 4,000 words restricted solely to data. Absolute maximum I/O is 4,096 in and 4,096 out. The 1747-L543 series CPU PLC module requires the use of a series C OS501 processor or later for optimum performance. This module allows you to burn a program into an EEPROM type memory module using a processor that is the same or different from the one used to run the program. This CPU module’s speedy I/O scan time and program scan time increase network efficiency and let you call the shots. The Allen-Bradley 1747-L543 stock CPU module works with SLC500 series programmable controllers and supports an RS-232 communication interface. This CPU PLC module sports a power consumption of 4 watts making it an ideal unit for power saving and high performance. Status indicators on your processor and in connection with this CPU module offer increased monitoring of program transferring from RAM to the memory module, run errors, and fatal errors. Additional accessories included with this stock SLC module include an easy to search user information guide. This user guide is divided into categories allowing for quick troubleshooting during use and covers product description, installation, and compatibility conditions. The unit also offers repair protection with the limited lifetime warranty. This warranty covers repairs to damage caused by manufacturer inefficiencies during the life of the product. The Rockwell/Allen-Bradley manufacturer SLC 500 Series is a small chassis-based family of programmable controllers, discrete, analog, and specialty I/O, and peripheral devices. This SLC 500 series delivers power and flexibility with a wide range of communication configurations, features, and memory options. The SLC 500 Series model 1747-L543 features I/O modules and up to 64K of configurable data/program memory available. The Allen-Bradley 1747L543 CPU module provides excellent value with extensive capabilities to address a broad range of applications including RS-232, small process control, material handling, high-speed assembly operations, simple motion control, and SCADA for a range of applications.
