Advice is provided on how to find good fishing where the outdoor experience is less affected by competition from other anglers or poor conditions. And for those who have family members they would like to introduce to the sport, there are tips on how to teach a child or loved one to fish. For the advanced angler, a chapter on trophy fishing is included. References to the lighter side of fishing emphasize key points, make readers feel they are sharing in the experience described, and include enough humor to entertain those who enjoy reading about fishing as much as they enjoy doing it. The author provides guidance and information, but also entertains so the learning experience is enjoyable. All chapters are written in easy-to-understand language that includes pictures, charts, or diagrams to heighten interest and simplify understanding. Fishing is not a sport limited to highly trained athletes, to the rich, or to the experienced.
