They take a pounding when sand, dirt, rocks and grass bounce off the lenses mostly from trimming. Dont forget about the 90+ degree temps these glasses endure. They get worn over 9 hours daily for three months then its time for the next pair. I havent gone to the eye doctor since i started wearing these. They keep the flying particles out of my eyes.
