TP-Link designed the TL-R470T router with small businesses in mind. However, this product is well-suited for large or active home networks as well. Featuring three changeable WAN/LAN ports, this router supports up to four wide area network or WAN connections. Five ports are present altogether. This means that you’re assured at least one WAN and one local area network or LAN connection at all times.Fortunately, the TP-Link TL-R470T doesn’t require much space. It measures just 8.2 inches by 5.0 inches by 1.0 inches, or 209 millimeters by 126 millimeters by 26 millimeters. It has an internal power supply, too. An AC power cord is included, and it connects to any standard wall outlet from the router. The system memory is 64 MB of DRAM, and 4 MB of onboard flash memory is provided as well. The device can support up to 10K concurrent connections in a session. In addition, front-facing LED lights indicate power, WAN, LAN, and so forth.Integrated load balancing automatically identifies the most efficient line based on bandwidth and current load. This balance helps ensure a consistent Ethernet connection as well as optimal network uptime. The TP-Link TL-R470T is effective because it features multiple strategies for balancing load rather than just one. This means the router will adapt based on the current characteristics of the traffic and connection. It will then take action accordingly.The advanced features on this device are abundant. An integrated DHCP server, for instance, eases static IP address assignments. If you want to operate your own server, the TP-Link TL-R470T router offers a virtual server. It also offers a DMZ host, UPnP, and so forth. DDNS assists users in taking advantage of remote management and similar services. Nearly every type of broadband connection is supported, including dual access and BigPond cable. Other features supported include static IP addresses, dynamic IP addresses, L2TP, PPTP, and PPPoE.Using PPPoE, administrators can limit access to private LAN users. Only users with accounts that have passed authentication will be able to access the internet or other services. Time-based access control is also facilitated. Admin can define access policies based on the date or time of day, for example. Consider a scenario in which employees receive expanded web privileges during their lunch break. At home, parents can use this to restrict access to their children. Perhaps the router blocks access after bedtime. This can be extended to wireless access points as well to control phones and tablets.The TP-Link TL-R470T router also comes with a built-in firewall to help protect your information and prevent unauthorized intrusions. This security features an IP address, MAC address, and URL filtering. Advanced configuration options deliver fine-grained control and are accessible via a standard web-based control panel. Advanced setup isn’t a requirement for this router either. For the average user, this product can self-configure and be up and running in a minute or two. Performing a reset or powering the device on or off is as simple as a single button press.

    The Cisco switch was really in great condition and got a good value as a eBay refurbished with 3rd party warranty no complaints. Fast shipping but the seller forgot to throw a power cord noting fits what I have so contacted the seller they promptly accompanied and promoted to ship overnight which was really great.
