For Internet-connected gamers, NBA 2K's suite of online features keeps the virtual league coordinated with real-world events. The "NBA Today" in-game rundown reports up-to-date wins, loses, and other news. Through the series' "Living Rosters" features, a team of expert sports analysts streams line-ups, roster changes, trades, injuries, and player ratings, straight to the game. <br><br>Released in autumn 2009, NBA 2K10 represents the tenth season of the basketball series, with developer Visual Concepts creating the Dreamcast-exclusive original NBA 2K a decade earlier. To commemorate the milestone, the limited edition release of the game is available exclusively for the high-definition consoles. Packaged in a "game locker" box, the Tenth Anniversary Edition of the game comes with a three-inch McFarlane Toys figurine of cover athlete Kobe Bryant, a poster featuring Bryant, and a DVD documenting the NBA 2K series' first ten years. Owners of the anniversary edition also gain exclusive access to the NBA 2K10 "Gold Room," an online lobby where internet-connected gamers and basketball fans can meet, set-up matches, and take part in special events and offers. The NBA 2K10: Tenth Anniversary Edition is limited to 30,000 numbered copies.
