Synopsis
Detective Isaac Bell faces an attack on the Federal Reserve in this all-new adventure in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Clive Cussler. 1914: As America's century of dominance dawns, the country's greatest detective, Van Dorn agent Isaac Bell, is pitted against a master thief and his assassin accomplice. They're plotting to pull off the greatest heist in America's history: the theft of a billion dollars from the newly created Federal Reserve. When an aerial attack is launched against Woodrow Wilson's yacht during a meeting among the Federal Reserve's branch leaders, Bell thwarts it, only to find that the strike was just the opening of an even deadlier gambit. It's up to Bell to find the link between the attack, the mysterious death of a Newport heiress, and growing evidence of an unimaginably audacious heist. Double-cross and betrayal are Bell's stock and trade, but this time, the deeper he delves into the puzzle, the less he seems to understand. He is in a race against his most ruthless opponent yet, to prevent a financial panic that would bring the United States to its knees.

- i***c (889)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaThis is a frustrated positive feedback. I am always perplexed when sellers choose to ship via an "off-brand" shipper, e.g., OSM Worldwide. This tends to delay the time it takes to get to me vs more "traditioaal" shipped, e.g., USPS, UPS, or FED-EX. This is a pretty good seller. The price was good, the shipping pretty prompt (though deliver took a bit longer than I expected), and the communication was pretty good as well.
- z***i (1163)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaI recently purchased a book from this Seller, and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. The book arrived in excellent condition, exactly as described. It was packaged in a sturdy, reusable cardboard envelope using no plastic at all. Delivery was surprisingly fast, exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend this Seller!Wombat, the Reluctant Hero (#364491341296)
- 1***r (2335)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaA positive feedback was left just because I hate leaving a neutral feedback. But, am not that happy with this transaction. The item sent has a black remainder mark that was not disclosed. I collect books and this detail matters. Book was described as "brand new" but not really. Also, although shipped promptly, the seller used OSM eventhough I paid for USPS shipping; took 12 days to be received. However, book was shipped in a sturdy mailer which I appreciate.
