Synopsis
Drs. Guhl, Parisien and Boynton, pioneers in the development of modern arthroscopic techniques have invited a prestigious group of contributors to prepare the third edition of FOOT AND ANKLE ARTHROSCOPY. This comprehensive work will address the most recent and valuable develpments in foot and ankle arthroscopy and will be a valuable resource for orthopaedic surgeons, general orthopaedists, sports medicine practitioners and podiatrists., Drs. Guhl, Parisien, and Boynton have prepared a third edition of this successful volume, heretofore published by Slack (who no longer publishes books on orthopaedic surgery, only journals). The editors have invited a prestigious group of contributors, including such stellar names in the field as Ferkel, Lundeen, Tasto, etc. The new edition will address the most recent and valuable developments in foot and ankle arthroscopy, including the practical applications of instrumentation and technique in the clinical setting. Unique to this book are the imaging techniques, laser surgery, mid-foot arthroscopy, and most importantly - endoscopic surgery of the ankle and foot. Unfortunately the U.S. Postal Service took 23 calendar days to deliver the book. It was shipped from Pennsylvania, to Atlanta, past Alabama to Texas, enjoyed several days in Texas, then to Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, back to Atlanta, finally to Birmingham, and Huntsville. The seller was very responsive and I decided it was interesting to see if/how the book would arrive.
