Synopsis
This anthology of short stories marks the fifteenth anniversary of The Story Prize and includes one story from each of the annual winning collections, beginning with Edwidge Danticat's The Dew Breaker and concluding with Elizabeth Strout's Anything Is Possible, "You don't often get collections, or even anthologies where every story knocks you out, but I've been bewildered in the best way over each one [in The Story Prize ] so far." --Lillian Li, author of Number One Chinese Restaurant This anthology of short stories marks the fifteenth anniversary of The Story Prize and includes one story from each of the annual winning collections, beginning with Edwidge Danticat's The Dew Breaker and concluding with Elizabeth Strout's Anything Is Possible . The founder of The Story Prize, Julie Lindsey, and its director, Larry Dark, created this award to address the lack of one specifically for collections of stories. Together they choose three finalists from the previous year's publications, which are sent to three judges--an author, a bookseller or librarian, and a critic or editor--who, independently of one another, relay their choices. The prize is then presented at an annual celebration in New York, where the finalists read from their books and then discuss their work with Dark. Excerpts from these interviews--or, in a few cases, the judges' citations--introduce each story in the book. The authors chose the stories included to read at the annual Story Prize event., "You don't often get collections, or even anthologies where every story knocks you out, but I've been bewildered in the best way over each one in The Story Prize ] so far." --Lillian Li, author of Number One Chinese Restaurant This anthology of short stories marks the fifteenth anniversary of The Story Prize and includes one story from each of the annual winning collections, beginning with Edwidge Danticat's The Dew Breaker and concluding with Elizabeth Strout's Anything Is Possible . Didn't ignore buyer's concern. Product was well packaged and music cd-roms are clean and almost perfect. Saw a recent broadcast on PBS about Kris Kristofferson and had to hear more. A+ Seller. Buy from this shoppe. Seller included personal biz card in shipment! I wish all my eBay friends were this great. Carefully wrapped it...included his business card...placed a unique Thank You sticker on top! Then packed it well -&- shipped it fast! Yes, I would like to listen to the CD, but I don't want to open the package because everything looks so nice! Thank you Hi Five Resale Shoppe!
- r***l (341)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Último añoCompra verificadaItem as described. Quick shipping. Would suggest a different way of shipping as it took 15 days to arrive from a neighboring state. The package traveled from the Midwest to California and then back to the Midwest. Glad there was a tracking number so I could keep an eye on it. I realize this was not the fault of the seller. Might want to ask about different shipping options. Wish there would have been more communication with the seller when the package started wandering around.Lands End Blue Collared Long Sleeve Nylon Squall Jacket LARGE 14 - 16 Womens (#166854138286)
