Despite the harsh chill of a New England winter, several towns in Massachusetts in early 1775 burned with a revolutionary fervor. With the springtime thaw came the specter of impending war, engulfing every Massachusetts citizen from Menotomy and Lexington to Lincoln and Concord. Historian D.
