Synopsis
Murder and rock-n-roll in the City of Fallen Angels. A lonely town. A classic genre. A new kind of detective. When superstar Nora Lord is found dead from an overdose of pills and red wine in the bathtub of her West Hollywood hotel suite, L.A. Sheriff's homicide detective Jason Chance catches the case. He knew Nora through her music. "The news of her death felt oddly to me like the news of the passing of a friend." Was it an accident? Suicide? Or something more twisted and depraved? Clashing with his partner and bosses, Jason digs into Nora's final, tragic days, looking for answers and a killer. The deeper he goes, the more dangerous the investigation becomes, leading him on a bloody trail from the raucous Sunset Strip to the dark streets of East Hollywood, and on to the protected enclaves of Newport Beach and Pasadena, uncovering a web of obsession, corruption, blackmail, and murder. All leading to a shocking ending that will leave you stunned. From Josh Griffith--author of THE LOST MAN, THE FORGOTTEN PLACE, and co-author (with Michael Malone) of the NY Times bestselling novel, THE KILLING CLUB--comes a spellbinding novel that will surely keep you reading late into the night.

- r***1 (179)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaThe book was exactly as described and arrived quickly. The only problem is a recurring one with this seller and other similar sellers - the book is poorly packaged in a plastic envelope and gets heavily bumped in shipping. I would like to see the books wrapped before shipment, but I understand this can't be done for cost reason. Luckily it isn't an expensive book, and I will continue to purchase basic books from this seller. A+++++
- k***a (326)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaPositive experience but could be better. Item description was accurate but, it was shipped in a simple bag with no carton or any protection. The bag was broken in places and the USPS bent the book like it was a newspaper and ruined what was an excellent looking book. That was clearly the USPS fault but a "Do Not Bend" or carton would help next time. Otherwise accurate description, value, condition and Fast shipping. I'm a returning customer and will keep buying from World of Books
