The imperfections do not influence the function. It is just not as slick as the lighting in the photos make it appear. There are youtube videos about how to use it. My suggestion is to make sure to use a long piece of sandpaper affixed to a big straight board.

But I'm kind'a mad.....at myself for not knowing about this seller and these great radius sanding blocks!!! Yeah, I bought some of those overpriced sanding blocks/beams in the past and they are good. But this one is as good if not better. If you are a guitar player this is THE PLACE to buy a fretboard/ fret leveling radius sanding block. Great communications and super fast shipping! Outstanding EBAY seller!!
