But the bottom of the mug is not smooth at all. It's all brown. When you run your finger around the bottom it feels very gritty. There is also 2 small chips on the bottom of the mug where it is brown. I'm disabled so it's a hassle to return it. I'm in love with the logo so I will just deal with it. Use a coaster or it will scratch the surface otherwise. I would not recommend this mug. I'm so disappointed.
