Unfortunately, the cartridge was defective (making harsh squealing noise once I installed and used it in my printer) and I did return. The seller did accept the return, deducting a small fee for my having opened/tried the cartridge. I don't feel I can blame the seller for the defective state and I am sure they would have no recourse to return the cartridge to Brother to recoup their loss.
