Portability is the most impressive quality of the ASUS R300 PND (Portable Navigation Device) because it is compact, lightweight, and thin. It is an ASUS GPS Receiver and portable multimedia center that weighs only 0.3 lbs (140 g) and measures 4 inches by 3.2 inches by 0.5 inches (10.1 cm by 8.2 cm by 1.4 cm). It has a 3.5-inch (8.9-cm) LCD touchscreen that has a resolution of 320x240 pixels. This last feature not only makes automotive navigation with this ASUS GPS Receiver simple, but it also makes it possible to get the most out of its functions as a portable multimedia center when it plays videos or serves as a picture viewer. Other entertainment-related advanced features of the ASUS R300 PND are its MP3 player and embedded FM transmitter, which combined with the microSD card slot that supports memory cards with up to 4 GB can provide hours of entertainment whether traveling by car, on foot, or on a bike. Some of the advanced navigation features of this ASUS GPS Receiver are the trip calculation functions that allow to program a trip with the least use of freeways, the trip that covers the shortest distance to get to the desired destination, among others. This device can also connect wirelessly via Bluetooth, so it enables hands-free reception of phone calls, another friendly function to enjoy a safe trip.
