Product Information
Loosely based on a true story about the efforts of one man to bring marriageable women to the forests of the Pacific Northwest in the 1870s, this vintage comedy from the 1960s was set in a Seattle logging community. The workers are threatening to leave due to the scarcity of women, so the camp owners, the Bolt brothers (Robert Brown, Bobby Sherman, and David Soul) do the only thing they can: import 100 women from Massachusetts. The brothers pull this off only by borrowing money from their rival, Aaron Stempel (Mark Lenard), whose terms dictate that all the women have to remain for an entire year, during which all quotas must be met. If not, he takes control of the Bolt brothers' mountain. Much mischief ensues as the girls acclimate to camp life, while Stempel does everything he can to impede that process and make them give up.

Seller didn't know how to send extra images and there was a bit of damage that was cut off from the listed images on 2 separate books. Also wish there was a little more care on packing for a $100 and $40 paperback book but thankfully they seemed alright despite only being sent with packing paper to prevent sliding. Packing tape was coming off the box, causing the box to be open a bit. Overall okay though and completed my collection. Thanks!

I had been after this book for some time and was delighted to get it at a good price and it was a very nice surprise to find it had been signed by the author ! which wasn't mentioned in the description. Item was received in tip top condition weeks ahead of the expected delivery date but a touch more packaging - maybe a bit of bubble wrap ? around the book might have been a good idea ?
