NotesBorn in 1992, international classical guitar champion Chaconne Klaverenga began studying piano at age 2 and guitar at age 6 with her parents, both professional musicians who own their own music store. In 2007 she won the Society of American Musicians Classical Guitar Competition Senior Division in Chicago, IL; Rantucci International Classical Guitar Competition Youth Division in Buffalo, NY; and the East Carolina University Classical Guitar Competition Youth Division in Greenville, NC. Chaconne studies privately with Denis Azabagic in Chicago and is homeschooled. She has had masterclasses with Eliot Fisk, Adam Holzman, Lorenzo Micheli, Andrew Zohn, Richard Todd and Ada Vidovic. This CD marks her emergence into the world of guitar competition. These are pieces she has won competitions with and pieces she just loves to play, both on guitar and piano. Her playing style is both passionate and fiery! Enjoy!
