The Optex LX‑402 Weatherproof Outdoor Passive Infrared Motion Detector is a rugged, weather-resistant PIR sensor engineered for reliable perimeter protection. Housed in a UV-resistant enclosure, the LX‑402 detects motion across a 12 × 15 m (40 × 50 ft) 120° field using either multi-level or pet alley detection patterns. It features double conductive shielding to block false alarms from sunlight and car headlights, along with selectable sensitivity (High/Medium/Low), pulse count (Test or 2), and built-in day/night light sensing. An area-masking strip allows fine-tuning of the detection zone. Powered by 10.8–13.2 VDC and drawing just 25 mA, it produces a 2-second relay output upon detection. The detector includes a tamper switch, LED indicator, 60-second warm-up, and is rated IP54 for.
