Product Information
The Firesign Theatre are perhaps the most intellectual of sketch comedy troupes. An abundance of clever commentary, witty wordplay, and cerebral satire floods their albums, which have brought comedy recording to a new level. This limited edition release, BACK FROM THE SHADOWS, features both a video and an audio chapter. An hour-long documentary of the bitingly clever quintet talking about their history and career. With their comic talent, however, this personal story turns into an improvised performance piece--a dazzling combination of references, wordplay, and witticisms. The audio chapter was recorded in 1993 at a 25th anniversary performance and includes much of their most famous material.
