I reached out to the seller and they offered a full refund of the purchase price which to me is the right move considering what I received. I do not believe they knew the issues prior to shipping so they did the right thing by refunding the entire order. I realize I was buying scratch & dent so some damage was to be expected, but it doesn't mean that it needs to be more damaged during transit. Overall it works and is good enough for my purposes, but just be aware that packaging seems to be a low priority with this seller.
