This four-book boxed set contains reproducible materials to support each Dictionary topic. Content Readings contain reproducible pages of narrative readings that correspond to each of the Dictionary's 60 topics. The Content Readings explain each topic as it is depicted in the Dictionary illustration while incorporating the content words and language structures. These readings can be used in class with the CDs for further listening practice. Content Chants are a fun collection of rhythmic, catchy chants that specifically relate to each Dictionary topic. The Content Chants provide vocabulary reinforcement and language learning through content, grammar, and verbal practice. These reproducible pages can be used in class with the CDs for further listening practice. The Word and Picture Cards feature photocopiable versions of the vocabulary and illustrations from the Dictionary. They can be used to introduce new vocabulary, review previously learned material, or play games and can be used in conjunction with any of the Dictionary components to provide variety and reinforcement for lessons. The Teacher's Book contains numerous suggestions for preparing, organizing, and using the cards. The Worksheets offer written reinforcement activities that correspond to each of the Dictionary's 60 topics. There are eight thematic units, which are each divided into separate topics. Each topic has a full-page color illustration on the right-hand page which place the words in context. The left-hand page features individual pictures - 'callout pictures' - taken from the illustration as a whole. This makes it easier for students to isolate itemsand search for them in the context of the whole picture. It is available in both monolingual and English-Spanish editions. It can be used by itself or with the accompanying components as the core of an entire curriculum.
