There was a small ding on the handle (maybe a manufacturing thing) but the sort of thing that would be picked up upon first use anyway so no worries. I'm a bit concerned about the quality of the product (this Lily Bloom suitcase doesn't feel nearly as rugged as something I could pick up at Walmart), but of course that's not the seller's domain. Plus, this is for my 8yo daughter and nothing else out there is remotely as cute.
