The weakest part is the M42 internal thread which is sloppy, but it tightens up when the lens is fully in. The adapter arrived several weeks early and was well packaged in a bubble-wrap bag which was inside a rigid plastic box. This adapter will give your old "Pentax screw thread" lenses a new lease on life - just remember that lens technology has improved since then and that this adapter is fully manual.
