Synopsis
This text in management follows a planning, organizing, leading and controlling framework. It features brief cases on diversity, entrepreneurship and strategy at the end of each chapter., This mainstream Principles text follows a Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling framework. However, it also has strong OB flavor.(See The "OB in Action" features in every chapter). There is an emphasis on management as cross-functional in nature. Each chapter ends with brief cases on Diversity, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy. There is a running case called "The Business Team, Inc." in which several recent college graduates (with business degrees in Finance, Marketing, Management, etc.) wrestle with a business challenge. A CD-ROM is packaged in the back of every text, the full text, video clips, and a link to the Dessler Web site, which includes full support on PHLIP. The Web site can also be accessed at <>.
