It was open box as described and appeared new and it registered on the AKAI website but the included software was not listed but was supposed to be downloadable. All except the most expensive one were available elsewhere. Either the former owner had already downloaded it or it is just too old as it was new in 2018. Works okay but not high quality or well featured. Will serve as a way to get midi notes into a computer but...
