When you play it, it gives off a soft (not silent) sound. When you plug in headphones, it sounds full-bodied. A+, the action was so high that it was unplayable D-, unless you want a lap steel. I am a luthier mcgillcustomguitars.com, so making it usable took some work but it turned out great. If you’re going to purchase this guitar be aware that it will take some expert tweaking to bring it around.
