The actual color of the item is brown. The color of a number of things used by the Roman army has never been established. The Dacian War period shows tropes of Roman scale hamatas over a subarmalis and that is why I got it. The tropes are not as well executed as other monuments but show enough detail to reconstruct the equipment of the time.
