All of the songs on this album will improve your circulation. Many of them have an Irish - rock flavor that makes you move your feet, jumping and reeling. 'Kate' and 'I'm a Little Bit Punk' are reminiscent of Green Day and Flogging Molly and carry strains of the age-old themes, 'I'm free; you can't stop me; I'm gonna make it, and there is no sexier, more scintillating way to be.' 'Gina' and 'You're a Lover' are sophisticated folk rock tunes that blend tastefully with a the Irish rockers. They have the feel of country-swing, and you're gonna want to grab your partner and whirl her or him around, and maybe go to bed early. 'I'm a very, very, very Sexy Man' is bigger than a steam roller, but you'll want it to catch you. Even a purist-blues will get out the ol' air guitar out and wail away. 'The Secret' is the song of longing, courage and rock-like resolution. It calls to mind the sea and rocks it's way into your mind and limbs like the rocking of a boat. 'Moved in with a Beauty' is Johnny Cash-like song. It walks the line between tenderness and absolute manliness in a bright, train-like rhythm. 'Why Won't You Make Love to Me?' is probably the most honest, insightful and poignant portrait of a woman by a male artist since Eddie Vedder's 'Portrait of A Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town.' The song ends in an equally deep and thought-provoking portrayal of a young man. 'Moonfish' is the dark and moody piece on the record, plunging listeners in to the sublime and profound. Sip your best vintage with this one. 'Best Girl' is the record's anthem. It catches your attention with a syncopated, thumping rhythm and hammers home the spirit of rock and roll with a simple, strong chorus that you will be singing for the rest of the day. Lovers of rock and roll will turn this song up, step a little more lively and drive a little faster to work with this song pounding in the car. Enjoy this brilliant record! All guitar and harmonica parts are done by Matt Gibbons except for the guitar solo on 'Best Girl,' which is the work of Harley Fine. Harley also play bass on 'Best Girl' and 'Very, Very, Very, Very Sexy Man.' All other bass parts are played by Tony Ventura. Piano and keyboards are the work of Alan Eicher. And Cliff Hackford is the man who played drums and percussion. Cliff Hackford thanks GMS Drum and Evans drum heads.
