The rods are interlocking so they should not come apart in the flue liner. Using a drill to spin the brush head I would imagine it does a better job than by cleaning by hand.

The buttons for connecting the rods are fine when you’ve got the hang of disconnecting them ( twist a fraction the opposite way the drill was spinning and the button pops in a treat) Probably won’t last as long as the kit the professional sweeps use but for a once a year amateur sweep ( with professional results) a bargain!

It arrived today and is in perfect condition. The product really works, and I recommend it. But the main part of this review is about the seller, who didn’t require me to return the defective item (I only paid £15 for shipping) and sent the replacement right away! So, 5 stars for the seller.
