Synopsis
This book is a ground-breaking collaboration between Igor Goldkind and 15 artists from the world of comics, fantasy and fine art such as Glenn Fabry, Wendy Farrrow, Rian Hughes, David Lloyd, Liam Sharp and more including an original cover and interior illustrations by Bill Sienkiewicz all packaged in a design by Rian Hughes. Goldkind made graphic novels acceptable in the British media in the late 80s with titles such as Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns and now his vision of what a graphic novel could be is returning. Not with a comic or a graphic novel but with something completely revolutionary -- A book of poetry and comic strips, illustrated by some of the greatest and the good of those in comic books which he has known along the way, which does something very new as well: transforming the medium. - Bleeding Cool. Additionally the work ties into a collection of spoken words backed by the amazingly innovative music of British jazz musician Gilad Atzmon in the form of downloads, a CD and live performance and signing tours in both the UK and US through 2015 backed by a 6 month PR build up and additional merchandise including an original t-shirt design by Bill Sienkiewicz. Goldkind has truly reached out and grasped the quality of art in its many forms to produce this beautiful hardcover book.
