Product Information
The sequel to Widget for the NES, Super Widget lets the title character transform himself into a variety of amusing characters (such as Octopus Widget and Dragon Widget), each with differing abilities, but gameplay ultimately boils down to 16 levels of simplistic running, jumping and punching. Cute (if technologically mediocre) graphics and a whimsical theme and musical score increase the game's reputation as a kids-only title, but the action is a bit slow, and there is some frustration when Widget plummets through the occasional object that looks as though they should be able to support him. Fans of the first game should enjoy this upgrade.
