The item arrived in good condition and was carefully wrapped...to a point but in my opinion for the high value of the item and the type of item (a rifle scope) it should have been further packaged in a box. I will assume that the seller did not have a proper size box that he should have had and spent time and effort trying to protect the item with pieces of cardboard plastic wrapped to prevent bending.
