The first two series followed the trials and tribulations of Hugo Abbot, a lowly MP who finds himself continually harassed by the PMÆs policy enforcer Malcolm Tucker (Peter Capaldi). The third series saw Nicola Murray (Rebecca Front) MP, replace Hugh as Head of DoSAC.
