The cardioid polar pattern of the Shure microphone blocks out unwanted background noises and focuses on the audio input from the performer. Moreover, explosive pop noise or breathing sounds, which can impair sound quality, is cancelled out by the built-in spherical wind and pop filter of the cabled SHURE SM58. This handheld professional microphone has a shock-mount system, and a steel mesh grille which makes it durable. Furthermore, this dynamic Shure microphone need little or no regular maintenance, and with reasonable care will maintain their performance for many years.
