Product Information

Blue's first Game Boy game is an educational title designed to help preschool children learn the alphabet and adopt early reading skills. Players guide caregiver Steve as he collects clues to find missing pages from Blue's Alphabet Book. Each page requires three clues, which are earned by completing an activity. As in the Nickelodeon show from which it is based, each mystery in Blue's Clues is solved from the Thinking Chair.<br><br>Six activities help promote letter recognition, letter and shape matching, spelling, sorting skills, motor coordination, early word recognition, and early musical comprehension. In "Alphabet Soup with Paprika," players pick letters floating in a bowl of soup to match Blue's word. Filling in missing letters is the object in "Beach Book Skidoo with Shovel and Pail," which involves digging a path to the correct letter in the sand.<br><br>"Bubble Burst with Slippery Soap" involves popping bubbles to reveal letters. Players attempt to find matches as in the tile game Memory. "Musictime with Sidetable Drawer" features a xylophone with letters on each key. Players try to repeat the song Blue plays by hitting the key with the matching letter. In "Catch the Letter Leaves with Baby Bear," players catch falling leaves matching the letter on the basket.
