Out-of-print in the US! a comprehensive collection of Jones' post-disco work, most of it recorded between 1980 and 1982 in Nassau, Bahamas, with a truly remarkable studio band, including the legendary reggae rhythm team of Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, alongwith Marianne Faithful collaborator Barry Reynolds on guitar. The songs-which run the gamut from Smokey Robinson to Chrissie Hynde to Johnny Cash-are generally arranged in an innovative, ahead-of-their-time way (echoey yet spare, with lots of deep bass) that owes a bit to dub and in any case provides a perfect backdrop for Jones' Queen of the Undead vocals.
