Mainly, because the 'flaming' looked so painted on and you could not see the natural wood grain. I guess I'd rather have a violin with a little natural grain showing through rather than a man made facsimile . I ordered a lighter stained version and I'm happy with that. The return went smoothly and I appreciate that.

The price for this item was great. The item was very good looking and appeared to be expensive. Customer service was great. A fast shipper that was willing to hold package a few days when asked. The strings were cheap and needed replaced since they were too thin, but they worked out of the box.

The packaging could’ve been better in the box, arrived, torn, and not a lot of padding in the in the package. Fortunately, the guitar was not damaged at all, but a note to seller. It would be good to package these better.
