I found the problem to be the lower Screen Ring, it'd been put on backwards (skinny end was at top & fat-end was at bottom. I flipped it around and it fit and works perfectly.

I ordered black they sent brownish color. But over all I just need the center part out of the shifter anyways so didn’t really bother me.
