Ultimately, it was returned to the seller, and we agreed to do the sale over again, same price as before. A very unusual path to a sales agreement; but in the end, I got the item i wanted, the seller was able to complete the sale, and we are both happy. I will also be happy to recommend this seller to other eBay customers.
