Got this hdd already knowing this, but for those who don't, with the SATA version like this one, windows will recognize it as one giant drive, not 2 separate. So to properly utilize the speed of the Mach.2 technology, you will need to use mdadm in a linux pc to raid 0 the separate partitions, windows has no way to raid partitions, only full drives. If you can use the SAS version, this isn't an issue, the OS will see two separate hdd's and you can raid normally.

It needs to be formated deliberately to take advantage of the unified LBA range in a dual partition config to reep the performance benefits of 2 actuators and 2 block ranges on separate platters, good luck, for those who can these are great, otherwise standard drives ligicaly managed is better

Upon powering the drive up I saw it had some bad sectors. I started a return, and the Server Part Deals people were very friendly and issued a refund promptly. While the specific drive I ordered had issues, I would still buy from the seller again in the future.
