The “maple flame” appears to be printed, but does not affect the playability. The nut slots were cut too deep and the strings buzzed. I took it to my guitar repair guy and I’m having the nut replaced and the frets dressed. These things have nothing to do with the seller and I mention them so others know what to expect. I would recommend this seller.

Playable as delivered, but benefited greatly from a setup to smooth frets and lower the bridge saddle and nut slots (requires some disassembly! One- piece supplied saddle blocks adjustment for cone/bridge screw). That said, good volume and tone you'd expect from spider bridge single cone. The fretboard seems to have a 12" radius to consider for slide players, so not flat action. Tasteful appointments in binding and inlays.

Item arrived with damage that occurred at the manufacturer prior to shipping, was returned and a full refund made without having to return the item. That said, I found it to be of exceptional quality for the price. However, I found big issues with the resonator. The bridge was low quality, the cone was screwed to the body and cocked, the spider was too tight and had a bizarre spring between it and cone to take-up slop. I may repair the damage and fix the resonator. We'll see
