I put a set of super light baritone 12-58 strings on it, tuned it to a fifth below a guitar, and intonated the saddles. It sounds and plays great.

It was packed in thin carboard box, I was surprised despite all this, the guitar survived without any dent during shipping! Secondly, this guitar not only feels but also SMELLs plastic and has bad factory odor. I'm really curious if this guitar is actually made of wood. And the skunk strip of the neck does NOT align center of the neck, I wonder if trussrod aligns properly, or if it has any truss rod in it. Lastly, despite all this, this guitar is playable.

This guitar is set-up as a Fender Bass VI (short scale 30), which is tuned to E, an octave below a guitar in standard tuning. It came strung: .089 .074 .060 .043 .036 .024, giving a bass bottom with a baritone mid/high range. If tuned to low octave EADGBE it won't break strings or tuners(?) (yes, tuners).The tuners seem to just be place holders to be replaced. It can be restrung as a long scale baritone (30"vs.27"). Can't beat Quality/Price!

The packaging could’ve been better in the box, arrived, torn, and not a lot of padding in the in the package. Fortunately, the guitar was not damaged at all, but a note to seller. It would be good to package these better. The guitar arrived with the headstock nearly poking out of the box But the guitar itself was completely undamaged.
