I examined each holder / the bottom hinge where the film is inserted. On one filter, this hinged closure broke free from the body of the rest of the holder. This particular brand uses a more rigid type of plastic than better brands. That caused it to break. In addition, the top pull bar on the dark slides came loose. I had to use super glue to get a strong connection between the pull tab and the dark slide. I do not expect to buy this brand again

I already own a few holders and noticed that these Crown holders have gaffer-type tape along the hinged edge, one of which was curling off. My current holders are made by Fidelity so I really can't compare. Perhaps this tape is a precaution to prevent light leaks. At any rate I will know when I test them out this coming week. They definitely appear to have never been used.
