I received a replacement weeks later it still rubbed the flywheel just barely so i made a 1/16 shim to put under the starter, now it works good no rubbing. When i measured in to my flywheel it was an inch in to hit it. when i measured how far the gear stuck out of the starter it was also an inch. That is why there was contact to the flywheel. This starter design works extremely well with headers

The gear on the output shaft of the starter does not mesh totally into the Ring gear on the converter. It has slipped and messed up a few teeth on my Ring gear. I took the starter back off and put an original equipment type starter back on it. The only reason I bought the Mini starter was so that I would have more clearance for my header.

I contacted them on 5/13/25 telling them of the mistake and I would be willing to keep the 3/4 fork, and I would be willing to buy a 1/2 fork if they would be willing to offer free shipping for it. Today is 5/20/25. Never got a response. Had to order one from another vendor.
