    After contact with eBay the shipping cost has now been refunded too, apparently, which I did not understand, the seller only handles refunds for the shipped item, the refund for shipping is something that you have to take to eBay and ask for. The item was broken upon arrival, but that part was refunded by the seller very quickly. So all is good, and I think I can say that the seller is good.
