Product Information
Director Bill Duke takes on the fascinating story of a proud black woman who sacrifices the peacefulness of her family life to work undercover for the FBI. Johnnie Gibson (Lynn Whitfield) joins the bureau over the objections of her husband (William Allen Young), who wants her to stay home and raise their daughter. Johnnie soon finds herself heading up a dangerous undercover operation with her partner (Howard Rollins). In trying to gain the trust of some dangerous gunrunners, she finds herself smitten with one charming suspect (Richard Lawson). Whitfield gives a strong performance in this very smart drama.
