Both of these lamps are 100% professional quality, with well engineered materials and design. They are definitely brand new. For less than 2 small flashlights I received a quartz tube lamps with very specific UV lighting frequencies. This is a great deal! In my included photos you can see how the 254nm special dye in my TLC plates lights up using the UVC lamp, but is dark using the UVA-UVB lamp.

Once these are out of the box there is no way to tell which one is SW or LW. There is some illustrations on the boxes covered in white tape that damages the boxes when attempting to remove. Overall, still a good purchase.

As for the lights, they are sad, weak and not really worth the small amount of money they cost. They do light up. They are uv at around the proper wavelengths listed. However, unless you are planning to use them in a completely dark room, 1 inch away from what you're trying to look at, they probably won't really do much for you. Spend a few more bucks on something quality.
