Wasn't looking for phenomenal, just decent and clean. But once i got them wired up, holy cow. These are some real sneaky pete's! The P delivers a rich, deep thump and smooth round tone, and the J at the bridge has a lot of meat behind it, its not that old school 70s Jaco sound i was expecting. Less twang and more bite. These are some hella good pickups!
